Auckland Airport Restoration

Auckland airport is the gateway for all of  New Zealand.And it is still a very small airport compared to Dubai, Sydney,Heathrow and more.But Auckland airport has 443 hectares of land that is used for nothing. Auckland Council has given us planning permission to use all this land. so here is what the artists impressions of the new Auckland airport.

It looks very modern and this is including constructing and upgrading the Onehunga rail line and extending it to Auckland airport. this will include stations such as Mangere and Ihumatao.There will also be another hotel created next to the existing Novetel hotel.The International and domestic terminal will all be combined as one as shown in the picture above.Here is what we will use for all the space Auckland airport has.

Later on in the future, Airport are hoping to build 2 more runways up north next to the future commercial precinct. This.This will means planes will be able to land much more easily and efficiently. This means the current International terminal will be Restored into two terminals, and the current Domestic terminal will be used as the air cargo precinct.
