Civic Quarter

The Civic Quarter is going to be a retail place for people in Aotea. It is going to have a thertre called the Whare thertre, A lot of retail stores and lots of pedestrian laneways.
It took me some time, but this is the best photo I could find. The civic quarter looks like a very mordern and freindly place and it will be a great replacement for the car park in Greys avenue. The thing that really stood out for me was how it was going to have pedestrian lane ways. It shows that Auckland is slowly stopping from being a car city and starting to be a people place.I am going to leave you with this video that tells you more about it.

Not doing rail to the Airport

Auckland has recently discussed that they are not going to do rail to Auckland international airport.I find this very ridiculous. This is because of how they already have rail to Onehunga sorted.
What I am trying to say is that they already have Heavy rail to the airport planned out.But instead, the council want to add light rail which may I just add is the same speed of a bus to the airport. I'm not saying that they should not add a light rail down dominion road.I'm saying that it should go from Britomart to Mt Roskill, and that's it.All they have to do is upgrade the onehunga line is make it double tracking, and then extend to the airport via mangere. But this is what they plan on doing.
It's very ridiculous because it's much easier to make rail to the airport the light rail to the airport.Tell me what you think.

South Eastern busway: Is it a good idea?

The south eastern busway is a not yet proposed busway which will start off going from Panmure to Botany town center via Pakarunga. I think it is personally a great idea. but I do hear people really against it. What it will do is it will make people be able to come into Panmure, Auckland and other spots in Auckland more faster and efficiently.

This is not only one of the ideas for the congestion free network from Transport blog. but also it is also the plan from Auckland transport for AMETI. AMETI stands up for the Auckland Manukau eastern transport initiative. they have made this project because there is not much great connections from east Auckland to the center city. So with this connection, it would be great. Later maybe in the future they might want to extend the bus connection to Manukau. but than again. this is a thought, But if this went in to action ,I would totally support it.

Top 3 things to do as a Aucklander

3: Day trip to Waiheke
Waiheke is an island that is only a 15 minute seaplane ride from Auckland CBD. It is filled with beaches, vineyards shops and loads more. It is owned by Auckland council so you can Easily take the car ferry from Wynyard quarter or half moon bay or catch the passenger ferry from Britomart or Devonport. It is an amazing day out and you see a lot of amazing stuff. I would really recommend it.
2: Auckland beaches
If you have not been to a beach in Auckland then you must be crazy because there over 125 of them so it is basically impossible to miss one. Auckland's beaches are all very beautiful because you are always bound to get excellent views and it is always in summer the right climate to always go for a swim. they are all very close from everywhere. But one thing I have to say is that the beaches on the west coast of Auckland are the most Beautiful because the sand is always black and it always is just spectacular.below is a beach called Piha which is the best in Auckland for surfing.
1.Auckland war memorial museum
This I had to put first because Auckland war memorial museum (Auckland museum) is really amazing with all the amazing facts about world war one and two, and all the history and exhibitions. you can learn so much. it is also a great piece of architecture from the outside. And after the museum you can go and have a walk around the winter gardens and it is always really nice and beautiful. If you have not been here I truly recommend coming here because it is absolutely Incredible.

some information about Auckland Council

Auckland Council (est 2010) is most properly as you heard has been all one city. This made Auckland a mega city. So what I am trying to say is that Before Auckland Council, there was a bunch of other regions such as north shore council, Auckland city council and a bunch of other that will take to long to get through. When  Auckland council was all created and finalized, they also updated maxx and changed it into Auckland transport. Im going to show you a video about how Len brown in 2011 said what he will do to Auckland in 2030, This is also a little bit like The congestion free network that Transport blog and generation zero have brought together. but here it is.
This video was made a year after Auckland had been all one city. But I just have to say, everyone thinks Len brown is a very bad guy but he is actually a really nice and friendly guy. As I said in one of my recent post's. But anyway I'm getting off topic.

The reason I am glad that Auckland is one council, is because we can things done more productively, more faster and that means we don't have to go to Henderson t talk to the mayor of Waitakere or something. We can all work together. but please, I would love to hear you'r thoughts, please comment.

Review post: Hobsonville

Hobsonville is a suburb in Auckland just in west Auckland or some people like to call it upper harbor. Some new apartments are being built and is meant to be the biggest area for growth in Auckland right about now.it has a population of 3,756 people. hoping to grow by another 5,000 in 10 years.
It is basically the first place you see when you leave North shore to when you come to west Auckland.it has a ferry which goes to the city to Hobsonville via Beach haven.and there are great bus networks from west gate to the area.I went there recently it looks very nice and modern and I believe everyone in Auckland has to check out the farmers market.

Wynyard Quarter restoration

The news from the Witamata local board, They have some great new ideas for the proposed, soon to be new and improved. As you know the current one is really disgusting and that is because of all the cylendiars in the area.
I think it looks really nice. But of coarse this is just a draft for it. so what Auckland transport are say that once they completed the city rail link, they would strongly recommend for wynyard quarter. it will be the first thing you see when you enter the city from the north.so right now it looks horrible.
some parts of wynyard quarter are really nice like silo park.
I just think they should remove all the industrial areas including the cylendiars .This would be able to make room for the proposed North shore train line.It will also have a wynyard station.

Review post: Albany

Albany is a small suburb just about 12 km away from the Auckland central. it has a population of 2,108 and it has one university called Massey. Albany is located the most northerly suburb in the North shore.
This Birds eye view of Albany is just showing you were the future rose gardens will be. you have to look very closely. The rose gardens will be a new batch of apartments facing the Albany lakes and mall.when I was there I also noticed that Albany has a lot of really frequent buses to Massey university and the mall. But I think they should extend the Northern busway to Albany by making by not only making the actual busway but also recreate the station.

Looking at Len brown

My 19 year old Brother Sam works at Smith and Caughys, and just the other day, he saw Len brown, mayor of Auckland. And he knows how much I love Writing about Auckland. So he gladly asked for an Autograph.
I'm guessing that kinda makes me his Biggest fan right now. That's because of all the complaints Len brown has had.Anyway. so my brother Sam was talking to him for a good 10 minutes.he was talking about the City Rail Link And the Waterview Connection.Sam said he was a genuinely nice guy. I mean I think people can't always blame him for his past. I know he did bad things but I don't think he deserves this misery.

Faster and more productive Railways: Auckland to Tauranga via Hamilton

Auckland,Hamilton And Tauranga are 3 of the Main cities of New Zealand And they are all under 200kms Away from the Auckland CBD Why not make a faster and more productive railway from Auckland to Hamilton? The Auckland council and Kiwi Rail have Proposed a double track railway network between Hamilton and Tauranga.
Auckland is Meant to grow by 2 million more people by 2030. which that will make Auckland have 3.4 million people by 2030. This is that type of connection Auckland is going to need to Connect the World  to Auckland.
The Auckland Tauranga railway is  already very well constructed because a lot of cargo goes from Auckland to Tauranga But what I think is the Main focus Should be Auckland to Hamilton Because lots of people from Hamilton Come up to Auckland To do a lot of  Business. But The question I am wondering mostly is Why they did not do this earlier?
